ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT CENTER Center Services - The Administrative Support Center (ext. 8525/8526; e-mail: adminsupport.center@rcc.edu) offers a number of faculty support services including word processing, duplicating, mail distribution, transparencies, PowerPoint presentations, ParScore grading, and the District switchboard operator assistance. Instructors are encouraged to use the Administrative Support Center. The entrance to the Center is near the southeast corner of the O.W. Noble Administrative building. Visitors may use the designated temporary parking nearby. Copying - A requisition must be completed for each copying job. Attach the material that is to be copied to the requisition. (Materials prepared off campus should be of professional quality and error-free.) Copy requests can also be via email by attaching the document(s) to an email addressed to adminsupport.center@rcc.edu with instructions. Three to five working days turnaround time is requested for reproduction requests. Copying services are also available at the Moreno Valley and Norco campuses. Faculty may also use the campus mail to send materials to the Administrative Support Center for word processing or duplicating; however, additional turnaround time is needed for these requests to allow for courier delivery. Copiers - There are self-service copiers for faculty use at all three campuses. These copiers are convenient for small copy jobs (less than 50); larger and/or more complex jobs should be sent to the Administrative Support Center for processing. Requisition forms are located in the Center mailroom. Files can be e-mailed to the Center (adminsupport.center@rcc.edu) for printing/reproduction; please be sure to include the total number of copies requested, the type of paper and the date required. Mailboxes - There are faculty mailboxes at each campus. Faculty need to designate a preferred mailbox location. If no designation is communicated, mail will be distributed at the Riverside Campus. Daily courier service to the Moreno Valley and Norco campuses leaves the Riverside Campus mailroom at 9:30 a.m. weekdays. Moreno Valley or Norco Campuses Faculty mailboxes are located in the Student Services building at the Moreno Valley and Norco campuses. Mailboxes should be checked prior to each class session or at least once a week. Other Locations Riverside Campus Switchboard - The switchboard operators assist faculty with any long distance or other outside calls as needed. Word Processing - A requisition must be completed for each word processing job. Word processing is available for course outlines, tests, handouts, syllabi, manuals and other class materials; completed copies are placed in the faculty cabinet located in the Center. Four working days turnaround time is requested for word processing requests. In special circumstances requests can be expedited; these should be brought to the attention of Center personnel. All word processing is performed at the RCC Systems Office (ext. 8526). Transparencies and PowerPoint - The Center is able to make overhead transparencies and PowerPoint presentations in black & white as well as small quantities of color. Color transparencies incur a slightly higher cost. ParScore - Instructors may leave test materials at the Center for scoring, analysis, and reporting. The results are available in hard copy, e-mail or flash drives. The Center does not offer self-service scoring, but instructors may use equipment at the Faculty Innovation Center and the Instructional Media Center. Those offices should be contacted for their hours and capabilities. Glenn Hunt Center of Teaching Excellence
