COLLEGE SAFETY AND POLICE

Riverside Community College Police Officers have full police powers anywhere in the State of California. They have all undergone testing and education mandated by California POST (Peace Officers Standards in Training). They must maintain annual training to remain certified.

Escort Services - All Campuses - The department of College Safety and Police staff and their student aides provide escort services from classes to parking lot areas. Contact College Safety and Police from any campus by calling the dispatcher at (951) 222-8171, (951) 222-8172. In order to receive prompt service, the caller should identify themselves, the campus, and their location.

A College Servive Attendant or officer will meet groups or individuals requesting to be escorted to the parking lot.

Escort Services - Other Locations - Escort services are not available at other teaching locations. However, at these sites, wherever possible, classrooms are located adjacent to parking areas. Faculty and students are encouraged to use a "buddy system" to walk to the parking areas.
