DISABLED STUDENT PROGRAMS & SERVICES

Disabled Student Programs & Services has as its guiding principle and goal the inclusion of the student with a disability by providing access and accomodation to all College facilities, programs, and services.

The District Dean, counselors and staff in the office of Disabled Student Programs & Services are trained to assist students with special needs. Riverside Community College District is noted as being one of the most accessible campuses in the state. Services available for students may include but are not limited to:

  • Disability related academic, personal and career counseling
  • Priority one-stop registration assistance
  • Notetaking and test taking accommodation
  • Sign language interpreters
  • Adaptive equipment for campus use (wheelchairs, etc.)
  • Liaison with the campus and community services
  • Adaptive physical education class
  • Parking in designated spaces (DMV placards required)
  • High Tech Center - Adaptive Computer Technology.
