MEDIA CENTER SERVICES
Equipment Delivery – 48-Hours Advance Notice Required
A variety of audio-visual equipment is available to faculty members to
enhance the instructional process. Slide projectors, LCD projectors, overhead
projectors, cassette recorders, TVs, VCRs, and DVD players are available
for delivery to the classroom upon request. Faculty must complete a separate
Multimedia Request Form for each delivery indicating the date, time, and
location. Requests for equipment MUST be made within 48 hours; however,
because equipment is in high demand, faculty members are encouraged to
make reservations well in advance to assure availability. Forms are available
in department offices and the Instructional Media Center or online at
http://imc.rcc.edu/orderform.htm. Completed forms may be taken to the
Instructional Media Center or put in the IMC mailbox. Phone orders are

Faculty Workrooms
Faculty/staff workrooms at Riverside and Norco contain supplies and equipment
for the faculty to produce their own materials. IMC staff will provide
technical assistance or advise faculty in the preparation of professional
instructional materials. The faculty workroom at the Riverside Campus
is located on the ground floor of the Digital Library & Learning Resources
Center. The faculty workroom at Norco are located is the Student Services
buildings. The faculty workrooms contain computer workstations with a
variety of production software, as well as instructional material production
equipment (i.e., transparency makers, laminators, cassette duplicators,
and lettering machines). Technical assistance is available at the Riverside

Laptop Checkout –
48-Hours Advance Notice Required
The IMC provides laptops for check out (subject to availability). Once
a laptop has been checked out to a faculty or staff member, he/she is
responsible for the proper operation and security of the equipment. Please
contact the IMC immediately if you experience technical difficulties or
if there is a change in your schedule. Laptop requests MUST be made 48-Hours
in advance by completing a Multimedia Request Form. Forms are available

Media Checkout
Media materials (excluding active telecourses) may be checked out to faculty
for one week at the library Circulation Desk with a valid library card.
The library’s website, LAMP (http://library.rcc.edu) provides access
to the Library Catalog, which is a searchable index of books and media
for all district libraries. Video titles are indicated in the library
catalog by the notation “[videorecording]” next the title.
The availability of streaming video for classroom viewing can also be
viewed via LAMP either through the “Streaming Media” menu
item or the Library Catalog. Steaming media titles contain the notation
“STREAMING MEDIA RIGHTS FOR SYNCHRONOUS DELIVERY TO THE CLASSROOM.”
If you discover that the library is missing an important media resource,
please complete and submit a Collection Development Form. Forms are available
at the Information Desk at all three campus libraries. For more information

Media Delivery –
48-Hours to 72-Hours Advance Notice Required
Media materials (both physical media and streaming media) may be ordered
along with the required equipment by using the Multimedia Request Form.
Requests for physical media delivery must be made within 48 hours for
videos at the home campus and 72 hours for videos from other campuses.

Media Licensing and
Permission Requests – 1-Semester Advance Notice Required
Riverside Community College District Instructional Media Center adheres
to Copyright Law (Title 17, United States Code), Fair Use Guidelines for
Educational Multimedia and Board Policy 5045, Use of Copyrighted Material
in regards to print and multimedia materials. To acquire licensing or
request permission for duplication, digitization, or conversion contact
the Multimedia Librarian at 951-222-8866.
Media Production –
2-Weeks to 1-Semester Advance Notice Required
The Instructional Media Center (IMC) will assist faculty in the preparation
and production of multimedia presentation materials for the classroom,
including PowerPoint presentations, overhead transparencies, slides, flip-charts,
audio tapes, and video productions. Production services are offered by
appointment only. Digital photography, PowerPoint presentations, and digital
conversion/duplication services require 2 weeks advance notice. Video
productions require a full semester advance notice. Production services
are requested by completing a Multimedia Request Form. Forms are available
in department offices and the Instructional Media Center or online at
http://imc.rcc.edu/orderform.htm. Completed forms may be taken to the

Satellite Downlinking/Off-Air
Recording – 72-Hours Advance Notice
The IMC can downlink satellite programs and record cable programs off-air
upon request and with appropriate written licensing/permission. To schedule
these services complete a Multimedia Request Form. Forms are available
in department offices and the Instructional Media Center or online at
http://imc.rcc.edu/orderform.htm. Completed forms may be taken to the
Instructional Media Center or put in the IMC mailbox. Phone orders are

Video Conferencing - Available at Riverside, Moreno

Riverside Convergence Center – located on the first floor of the
Digital Library. The Convergence Center is available for all faculty
to convert analog materials to digital format. Staff are available to
assist you. Equipment available – 7 computer workstations, high
resolution scanners, video editing, network printer, audio recording,
CD and DVD duplicator, plus the latest presentation programs,
