OPEN CAMPUS
Open Campus is responsible for distributing academic distance education courses throughout the District, providing administrative services for over 400 faculty teaching over 1,500 online, hybrid and web-enhanced sections to over 55,000 enrolled students per year. Open Campus is also responsible for faculty technology training and this is accomplished through workshops along with weekly personalized support on each campus. Appointments are scheduled through the District Educational Technologies Trainer, Connie Hagar, at (951) 222-8098 or via e-mail at connie.hagar@rcc.edu. Open Campus also offers an online-based Blackboard Academy that provides faculty interested in offering online-based courses a month-long introduction to the Blackboard course management system along with other technology and policy-related items associated with online-based courses. Faculty interested in offering online-based courses must complete the online Blackboard Academy first and need to contact mary.parker@rcc.edu to reserve space in an upcoming session.
